Welcome to the Rats of Tobruk Master swimming Club. The Club was started in 1984 and has swum at the Tobruk Memorial Pool ever since. Our moto is fun, friendship and fitness.

The Club competes at a number of swim meets throughout North Queensland but also encourages the non-competitive swimmer to achieve their goals through a planned program during the year.

Masters Swimming Is open to anyone over 18 and are graded into 5 year age brackets .  Adults are motivated to join The rats of Tobruk for a wide range of reasons.  These include staying in shape, on medical advice, being active, improving skills, or simply to have fun. 

In Masters swimming we try to provide a program where all these needs can be met.  Then, when you become fit, there is the added incentive of competition.

As one swimmer put it: "It's people having fun, being fit, and seeing how they do."
